The Corrupt Slime, introduced in the 1.1 update, is a member of the slime family that will only spawn after the Wall of Flesh has been defeated. It can only spawn in areas taken over by the Corruption, it can be found both above and below ground.

The Corrupt Slime has a total of 170 health and are like the normal slimes, but jump somewhat more frequently. They have Low defense and deal around 30-50 damage. They drop the same as normal slimes, coins and Gel . When killed they will split into 2-3 Slimelings, the same way the Mother Slime splits.
