Crafting is one of the main elements of Terraria, as it allows players to create usable items, weapons, tools and other blocks. The crafting menu shows a collective list of everything you can craft and what materials it will consume to craft it. There are currently thirteen known placeable furniture pieces that add new crafting possibilities to your crafting menu: a Workbench, Furnace, Alchemy Station, Bookcase, Anvil, Loom, Cooking Pot, Hellforge, Sawmill, Mythril Anvil/Orichalcum Anvil, Adamantite Forge/Titanium Forge, Tinkerer's Workshop and Wooden Table (with Chair). A Hellforge cannot be crafted but can be found in The Underworld and moved to your house. A Demon Altar is also required to craft pre-hard mode boss-summoning items but cannot be moved. To craft Hard Mode bosses, the player can use either a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil. The Tinkerer's Workshop can be bought from the Goblin Tinkerer and is used to combine certain Accessories. After the 1.2 update, many more Hard Mode crafting stations have been added, such as Meat Grinders dropped by Crimson monsters, the Imbuing Station, Autohammer, Solidifier, Dye Vat, and Blend-O-Matic.
