A Daybloom appears as a flower with an orange middle and yellow petals growing from a straight green stem with two leaves. It grows naturally in grass where it can be cut with almost any weapon or tool. It can also be planted in Clay Pots by using Daybloom Seeds. It sells for 20 to vendors.

If cut during the day, 1-3 Daybloom Seeds will be dropped. It is easy to spot the yellow daisy-like head to know if the Daybloom is ready for harvesting its seeds.

Since added in the 1.0.5 update, Daybloom flowers are used in many craftable alchemy potions, such as the Regeneration Potion. Given the fact that a Daybloom harvested during the day will drop 1-3 Daybloom Seeds, there is an easy and profitable way to make a Daybloom Farm. One may plant the Daybloom seeds in grass about 1 block apart, but will cause you to destroy the other growing seeds when harvesting individual Dayblooms. This can be overcome by using arrows or bullets when harvesting the Daybloom.

Dayblooms now lose their yellow head when its nighttime. During day, their yellow heads will return. Also, Dayblooms will not give off seeds when destroyed during the night.
