The Demon Eye is a common flying enemy which only spawns at night, and is generally one of the first enemies a new player will encounter. This is a reason for new players to make a shelter to survive the night, because they fly fast, have much health, and are very common. The Demon Eye drops Lenses and rarely a Black Lens. It moves in an arc-like pattern, ricocheting off of walls, and will be knocked back when struck by anything. The Demon Eye will follow a player until it is killed, the player moves too far off screen, the player dies, or night ends. The Demon Eye can be difficult to kill, because when the player hits one, it will be knocked back, and it takes quite a while for them to come back. If you are in a rush to kill a Demon Eye, a good way to kill them is to use a Boomerang. Using flying devices such as Rocket Boots, Spectre Boots, or Wings, is also a good way to kill them.

NotesEdit

  • Killing 20 Demon Eyes will increase the chance of spawning an Eye of Cthulhu.
  • Due to the pattern in which Demon Eyes fly, they often have trouble entering opened doors.

Known Bugs And GlitchesEdit

  • Sometimes a Demon eye can pass through a single dirt or wood block.
  • If you somehow manage to trap a Demon eye and place blocks where it would fly in the trap,if there were blocks underneath the trap, the eye would glitch through the blocks.
