The Dirt Wall is a placeable block used in the background layer. Before the 1.0.6 update it did not prevent Monsters from spawning and could not be used to make a Home. The only way to break a Dirt Wall is by hitting the edge of the wall with a hammer-type tool. Naturally occurring Dirt Walls do not drop anything when broken.

• Dirt wall is one of the easiest walls to make a house with since you can get it almost as soon as you spawn.
