Flying Piggy Bank

The Money Trough is a reusable item that temporarily summons a flying pet-like version of the Piggy Bank. It is dropped by the Drippler and the Blood Zombie at a 0.5% chance in normal mode, or 1% in Expert Mode.

The Money Trough enables players to access their Piggy Bank contents without having to place the Piggy Bank or any furniture for it to rest on. The floating Piggy Bank despawns after 3 minutes, but can be re-summoned repeatedly at no cost. Re-summoning it while it is already spawned will simply replace it and refresh the 3-minute countdown.

Tips

• This is an early way to have an extended inventory as long as the Piggy Bank has open slots.
• If stored within the Piggy Bank, items can also be swapped out depending on the situation, e.g. armors and weapons.

Notes

• Although the piggy bank floats, it does not follow the player.
• It's possible to deposit the Money Trough in the player's piggy bank storage through the summoned flying Piggy Bank. If the flying Piggy Bank despawns, the player will need to access the storage using another Money Trough or Piggy Bank to recover it.
• Even though the money trough is referred to as a pet it cannot be placed into the pet equipment slot.

Trivia

• "When pigs fly" is a figure of speech used to humorously describe something that is impossible or will never happen.
• When summoned, the flying piggy bank will move from the center of the Player's sprite to 4-5 blocks towards the cursor, facing away from the player while it moves.
• The flying piggy bank will always face the player when stationary.
• Every time using/leaving Money Trough will make it grunt with slightly different tone.
