The Laser Machinegun is a Hardmode magic weapon. Before going into full firing speed, the machine gun will spin up for roughly 3 seconds until it reaches its maximum fire rate. It is dropped by the Martian Saucer during

the Martian Madness event. The Laser Machinegun's best Modifier is Mythical.

Tips

• Try to spin up the machine gun while no enemies are within a few blocks of you to avoid being damaged while waiting for it to spin up.
• Combined with the Spectre Armor with the regenerative hood, you won't do as much damage but will heal very, very fast if you can hit all of your shots.
• It is a very good weapon against big enemies like the celestial towers or the Destroyer since it is much easier to hit.
• This weapon's projectiles seem to continue traveling very far whilst off-screen. Thus, it can be used to slowly but safely destroy celestial towers whose barriers have been dropped.
