An Enchanted Sword Shrine
The Enchanted Sword Shrine is one of the mini-biome structures added in 1.3 which houses an Enchanted Sword or the Arkhalis. The shrine tends to generate at one of the far ends of the world, between the distance that a dungeon entrance would spawn if it had been generated on that side of the world and just before the ocean, but can also appear anywhere there is a forest biome outside the center 1/3 of the map.
It is marked by a very long, narrow natural tunnel which reaches the surface, and features a small hill with flower walls and pools of water on either side, upon which the sword rests. The tunnel leads perfectly straight up from the sword and varies between 1 to 3 blocks in width as it goes. The top of the tunnel can occasionally open up below an overhanging ledge or within a small pocket slightly below the surface where sunlight cannot reach, (Additionally these tunnels can go straight through living trees making a long irregular line through the majority of the tree) making light producing weapons like the Dark Lance or Starfury useful for locating the entrance.
It is possible for a fake sword to spawn as well.
