The Dark Lance is a spear that can be found in Shadow Chests in the Underworld.

When used, it gives off light emitting particles that linger for a while, which is useful for fighting in the dark. It can pierce through enemies, and even hit the same enemy multiple times.

Like most other Spears, its best Modifier is Godly.

Notes

• This weapon is useful for finding caves due to its long reach and particles.
• As the Gungnir is the spear counterpart for the Excalibur, judging by its look, the Dark Lance is probably the Night's Edge's counterpart, only with less damage.
• This is the most powerful pre-hardmode spear.
• When in use, Cloud in a bottle and Spectre boots particles turn purple.
• It provides a dark-purple light every time you stab it around.
