Molten armor

Molten armor is an Armor set known for having highest defense out of all the pre-hardmode armors in the game, but it is also one of the most difficult to obtain.

It takes a total of 45 Hellstone Bars to craft a full set of Molten armor, or 135 Hellstone and 45 Obsidian.

A full set grants 25 base defense, plus 17% increased melee damage. If the full set is visible, it will leave a fire trail similar to that of the Meteor armor. However, Molten Armor leaves slightly more fire particles.

  • No longer requires Gold armor to be crafted.
  • Hellstone Bar requirement reduced by 5 for each piece, bringing set cost from 105 down to 90 bars.

  • Set bonus damage increased from 15% to 17%.
