The Marble Cave is a mini-biome that spawns upon the world's creation. It is filled with many Pots as well as being made entirely out of Marble Blocks. The enemies that spawn here are themed after the ancient Mediterranean. Marble Caves can also spawn small rooms with Smooth Marble Walls that contain Marble Chests.
It is by far one of the most dangerous areas in the game, even late in the game, since Hoplite can deal up to 100 damage, and Medusa inflicts one of the most deadly debuffs available, making it very advisable to avoid outright Pre-Hardmode. But if you are mobile enough (grappling hook and rocket boots recommended) to avoid javelins and gazes, this biome can become a source of good weapons useful for fighting pre-hardmode bosses (Medusa Head is brutally effective against Eater of Worlds and Brain's minions and Javelin is a good throwing weapon).

Farming Information
- Standing on marble blocks directly when inside the Cavern layer is one of the easist way to make spawning marble-themed. Normally 4/5 of chance will be occupied by Hoplites and/or Medusas when the spawning is marble-themed.
