Giant Bat is a hostile flying enemy that can be found once the Wall of Flesh has been defeated in the Underworld. Giant Bats are found in cave systems, much like the normal Bat mob, but has substantially higher HP and defense. If a Giant Bat is located in deep Corruption or deep Hallow, it has a chance to drop the Soul of Night or the Soul of Light which can be used to craft substantially useful items, provided you gather enough souls.

TriviaEdit

The Giant Bat's appearance and color scheme, along with the fact that it can confuse you, seems to be a reference to the Pokémon Golbat or the Pokemon Zubat.
