The Gold Pickaxe is the fourth tier of Pickaxes, being one tier above the Silver Pickaxe and one tier below the Nightmare Pickaxe. Like all pickaxes, it is used to mine a majority of blocks and ores. The Gold Pickaxe can also be used to mine Meteorite Ore and Demonite Ore. However, it is incapable of mining Ebonstone, Hellstone, Obsidian or Dungeon Bricks.
