A Keg is a furniture item that can also be used as a Crafting Station to create Ale with a Mug while standing near it.

Ale offers a damage boost, with a cost of reduced defense. This can be situational; if you're a person who can easily avoid damage and can kill things quickly, Ale can be very beneficial. Despite this, it would not be recommended for bosses because they are capable of dealing high levels of damage, regardless of how many times they hit.
