The Mummy is a monster found in the Desert biome. There are three variations of the Mummies, one being the Mummy, which spawns in the desert once the Wall of Flesh has been killed, the Light Mummy which spawns on Hallowed Deserts, and the Dark Mummy which spawns on Corrupted Deserts. The Light Mummy can drop the Light Shard, and the Dark Mummy can drop a Dark Shard, used in the crafting recipe of the Dao of Pow.

This particular monster exhibits the ability to go berserk; if a mummy has taken a certain amount of damage, it will start running towards the player in a much faster speed. This ability is somewhat useless as it only activates when their health is low.

One notable thing is that it is possible to get mummies spawning in the ocean.
