Shuriken are common ranged weapons found in chests and pots, or alternatively can be bought from the merchant for a low price.

Thrown Shuriken pass through enemies and inflict damage, and can inflict damage on the same enemy more than once. Shuriken can usually be retrieved after striking an enemy and thrown again, but some break on impact. Their return rate is about 80%.

Shuriken are affected by gravity much more than arrows, but their fast fire rate, coupled with their low cost, make them an ideal early-game weapon for fighting the Eye of Cthulhu, as well as other enemies.
