these goddamn things have the worst hitbox i've ever seen, clearly designed out of actual malice and spite rather than anything, they literally can hit you through W A L L S, stay 3 tiles or more away, they will hit you a tile farther than their sprite indicates whatsoever Da Clorax (talk) 07:04, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

Wooden spikes only seem to do 46 damage through 20 defense (actuators used to pre-hard-mode the temple). Is it me, or do they only do 16 more damage (56 compared to 40)? Arguably, Chlorophyte Armor provides far more defense than 20 - and these spikes can kill you through it in 6 hits? It takes ~11 w/ 20 defense! These spikes would only do ~28 damage to you in Chlorophyte Armor - it would take 18 hits to kill you, not 6. It takes 9 hits to kill you with no armor, and 8 with -20 defense (Ichor)!
