We have a problem with video content. Everybody wants to produce a video and everybody wants theirs the be the only one on an article. Obviously this isn't acceptable. I'm about to the point where I think we would be better off having NO video content embedded in a page.
I'd like to hear your opnions on this. One possible solution is to restrict all video content to pages of the same name in the Video namespace. We could also simply require only external links. What about limiting videos to 2 minutes so they're concise and to the point?
Update: Okay here's the deal: The founder of the wiki has selected an "official video provider" to make video content for the wiki. I don't know if they're going to end up on most pages or only where really needed, but frankly anything is better than the nonsense going on up until now. I'm removing most videos as we speak, probabaly including some by the person selected, but we'll straighten that out later. Thank you all for your input. -- Osculate(talk) 01:15, June 18, 2011 (UTC)
