Hello Terrarians! Welcome to the ninth issue of The Terrarian Bugle! Excuse the late time for this release as I had some things to do in real life. But here it is! So let's get right to it! Today we're going to blow through the update info as there is not much to report, enjoy some of the normal weekly events, and view a small new update from Balduran's sprites! Thanks for reading and enjoy! :D
There is nothing much to report here other then that the Devs are hard at work with our beautiful Lunar Update. ^-^
We currently have no word from 505 games concerning the next console update. I believe that it may take awhile due to Hardmode coming to mobile soon.
Exciting news Mobile Terrarians! Hardmode is coming very soon!
505 Games states:
"Terrarians, we hear ya and are really excited to be announcing that Hardmode will be coming to mobile and tablet devices! It’s something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for a long time now, so we can’t wait to debut our biggest update across a range of iOS and Android devices at E3. Look out for more news and sneak-peaks into Terraria over the coming week!"
So expect the update soon!
Here's a popular sneak peek of it that you may have already seen:
Poll of the week
This poll is going to be based on which design for the Fishing Rods is the best! Base your decision off of the design, not the power or special ability. Thanks to Squazzil for helping me put this together.
Best Creation/Pixel art of the Week
This week we have two mind blowing submissions from Hunited and Sank Your Battleship! The first is an amazing Japanese themed mini temple decked out with Japanese furniture and the Dye Trader to go with the theme! The next is Sank Ur Ship's awesome shroom house constructed in an above ground Glowing Mushroom Biome! Be sure to compliment them next time you see them!
Exclusive interview with a member of this Wiki
I had a few technical difficulties with Hunited's interview so I'll have that in next week's bugle. For this week, we will be interviewing Oscuritaforze, who is an Admin and fellow Terraria lover. Let us delve into his intricate knowledge of the game and find out the background story of this great Terrarian. 0_0
TerrariamcSwaggins: Shall we begin our interview?
Oscuritaforze: Alright, sure.
TerrariamcSwaggins: Great! First question, the most basic interview question for the bugle, what is your favorite Boss and why?
Oscuritaforze: Favorite concept? Eater of Worlds — Corruption is my favorite biome, so the boss of the Corruption is my favorite boss. Favorite fight? Any of the bosses in the Pumpkin Moon or Frost Moon — I really like the "horde mode" sort of gameplay that you have to juggle at the same time as the actual boss fight.
TerrariamcSwaggins: Interesting, most people shoot for Plantera as their favorite bosses so it's always good to hear a fresh opinion. Next question, about how long have you played Terraria for you? (This can be in STEAM hours and/or date of purchase)
Oscuritaforze: Steam has my time listed as 727 hours, though there were also ~12 hours that weren't logged due to being played with mods active. As for a timeframe, I've been playing Terraria since October 2011.
TerrariamcSwaggins: Wow, you must be a Terraria expert then. 0_0 What do you think was your most intense moment in your 3+ years of playing? (Not too much detail is needed for this.)
Oscuritaforze: First time I entered the Corruption, without a doubt. Doesn't sound like much now, but that place was terrifying to a new player waaay back then – more so since my first character was mediumcore.
TerrariamcSwaggins: Man, that does seem terrifying, I also always had trouble with the Corruption with my first character. ;-; Next question, what gear and weapons do you prefer?
Oscuritaforze: That...really depends on the character, actually. By the end of a particular playthrough, I'll generally be carrying 6-15 archetype-appropriate weapons (preferably with different behaviors) in addition to the standard pickaxe/axe/hammer, a grappling hook of some kind, potions, bombs, equipped + spare/situational accessories (which, again, depend on what kind of character I'm playing)...
There are a couple of gimmick characters I play that have significantly less gear, though.
TerrariamcSwaggins: So to come full circle, you tend to use characters that specialize in multiple classes instead of setting on one?
Oscuritaforze: It's more that I specialize characters, then switch between them when I feel like utilizing a particular playstyle.
TerrariamcSwaggins: Perfect. Final question, What is your favorite biome and why?
Oscuritaforze: As I mentioned before, the Corruption. It's highly atmospheric, and I find that it has a certain haunting beauty about it. Helps that I like the designs on most of its monsters, too! Only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it invalidates housing.
TerrariamcSwaggins: Yep, can't hate on the good 'ole Corruption. Well, I believe that we are finished, thanks!
Oscuritaforze: No problem. Keep up the good work with the Bugle!
This is going to be part 2 of Balduran's sprites, I hope you're excited to view these masterpieces! (Note: This is not all the sprites in the update, this is only the best ones.) Balduran does commissions and paid work in general in addition to doing it for fun.

Announcements and Shoutouts
There is no announcements at this time.
SilverHexxitFights has not posted any of his Terraria fan fictions lately due to some business in real life. Once he has it worked out, I'm sure you can expect him to get right back to it for you guys! For now, here's a few of his older stories for you to enjoy.
I'd also like to give out a shoutout to a new system that has been developed for the forums. You can view that here:
