Hello Furiion52, and welcome to the Terraria Wiki! Thanks for your contribution to the Floating Islands page. Here are several pages that can help you with where to begin:
- Wiki Activity – A great first stop, because you can see what pages other people have been editing, and where you can help out.
- Help Pages - If you're new to editing or having trouble getting something to work, the help pages are a great place to start.
- Forums - The forums are used for a number of things, from proposing policy changes to in-game help. Each week a new Question of the Week will be added to the forum, so be sure to check back.
- Community Portal - The community portal serves a number of purposes. It lists Terraria Wiki's policies, suggestions on ways to further contribute to the wiki, as well as a number of helpful links.
- Administrators - A list of Terraria Wiki's administrators. If you need additional assistance or are having troubles, feel free to contact an administrator with the details.
- Always sign in before you edit – This is so that we can recognize you!
- Always sign your posts - When leaving a message on someone's talk page, remember to sign it by clicking either the 'signature' button or by typing four tildes (~~~~). This is so the person knows who to reply to.

Custom Signatures Edit
There are some different ways to use custom signatures. Mine is rather simple, it involves only a small amount of wiki markup in Special:Preferences. Dzylon and The Pathogen on the other hand have rather complex signatures. These are stored as templates in their userspace, for example at User:Dzylon/SigReal or User:The Pathogen/sig. The code required to generate the signature is rather complicated, and requires some knowledge of HTML tags, cascading style sheets, and wiki markup. I myself haven't tried to create a signature in this manner, and while I'm sure I could figure it out, I'm not the best person to ask. I've asked Dzylon to get in touch with you and see if he can help you design a custom signature. If you'd like, please feel free to ask The Pathogen as well, I'm sure he'd be willing to offer you some pointers.

Hey, I saw you commented here: Administration Discussion. That page is no longer being used, as the discussion is completed and the policy is settled. Admin nominations are taking place on this page:
If you'd like to offer your thoughts on who should be admin, please make them on that page, otherwise your comments/vote won't be seen. To give you the basic status update: Pathogen's nomination has unfortunately been put on hold for now (decision made by staff), but he will certainly be considered again soon. Dzylon has yet to be nominated, though I am certain that someone will nominate him soon =). Also, Dak is currently being considered for admin.

Categories Edit
Hey, can you please put a hold on making new categories for now? Categories have to do with site organization. In this case, since you've been creating a few different new categories these past few days, some of which I feel are unnecessary or improper in usage, please hold off on this. If you'd like to create more categories, let's have a discussion first so that you can explain what your goals are in creating these categories and so that I can explain a few of the problems with some of the ones you've created. Signature UpdateEdit
I saw your signature preferences were causing some problems to your sig on this wiki, so I set up some your Sig and SigReal pages over here as well. From now on, when you sign, use only three tildes.
Also, your current signature is just a placeholder. You'll have more aesthetic effects to add later :).
- Also, regarding this section of your preferences:
{{SUBST:#time: h:i:s, n/j/Y}}- That is the time parser function, or your timestamp. It is modular, so you can set it up however you like best. Here are the syntaxes, and what they translate to:

- Find a font that you would like to use for your signature's text. What is it?
- Do you want your signature background to be one solid color, or more (like mine)?
- What color(s) do you want to use for the background? Look here for a full list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors
- What color do you want your border to be?
- What color do you want your text to be?
- Do you want a curved edge (like mine) or edges? No curved edges at all?
- What links do you want included in your sig? Your user page and talk page are usually a given. Any besides that?
- Besides links and the timestamp, anything else you want included?

- thin simple text font
- Um, how about Times New Roman? I'm no good at guessing, so if you come up with a specific font, let me know. You could just open up Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org (or whatever word processing software you happen to use) and play around with the fonts.
- red at the bottom and sort of lightish grey at the top
- How about this, then?

- All-out red is very dark, and dark colors don't go well with a black font.

Hey, Furi. I saw you've been formatting links around around pages, which is good. However, in the case of piped links (example: [[Top Hat|top hat]]), the first area is the link, and the second area is what shows up on the page. So, instead of changing it to [[Top Hat|Top Hat]], please use [[Top Hat]]. This is not only easier, it is preferred. Thanks :). Dzylon Talk 02:39:24 March 13, 2012
- Another thing. Please avoid linking to redirects when at all possible. For example, [[Musket Balls]]. While that does lead to the correct page, [[Musket Ball]]s is preferred. It leads to the correct page as well, but without the redirect.
- By the way, I updated the box above. The color you gave me doesn't work with the software, so I substituted something very similar. If you look through the list again, and find me a different color from any of the tables that comprise the majority of the page, I can use it. Dzylon Talk 02:51:34 March 13, 2012
