A Logic Gate is a mechanism used to provide logic to wiring setups. Input is provided by connected Logic Gate Lamps. Based on the type of Logic Gate used, output will trigger when the correct Lamp inputs are active.[1][2]
Types
- AND: Emits a signal when both lamps are active
- NAND: Emits a signal unless both lamps are active
- OR: Emits a signal when at least one lamp is active
- NOR: Emits a signal when no lamp is active
- XOR: Emits a signal when one lamp is active, but not the other
- XNOR: Emits a signal when both lamps are active, or both are inactive
Notes
- Yoraiz0r indicated that NOT gates will not be included. A NOT gate can be simulated by toggling the inputs before connecting them to the output. The output will be opposite of the inputs.
- To produce a NOT gate, take a input source and feed it to a two input AND/NAND gate, using the same wire line to branch to both inputs on the gate.
